Clergy assignments: May 13, 2016

Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:

Fr. Gregory Deters appointed associate pastor of St. James Parish, Novi, effective July 1. Fr. Deters currently serves as associate pastor of the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, St. Moses the Black Parish, and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Detroit.

Fr. Festus Ejimadu appointed pastor of SS. John and Paul Parish, Washington Township, effective July 1. Fr. Ejimadu currently serves as pastor of St. Gerald Parish, Farmington.

Fr. Kenneth Mazur, PIME, appointed pastor of the to be named parish being created from the merger of St. Theodore of Canterbury Parish, Divine Savior Parish, and St. Damian Parish, Westland, effective July 1. Fr. Mazur is completing a sabbatical after having served previously as the local superior for the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) community in Detroit.

Fr. Sama Muma appointed associate pastor of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Shelby Township, effective July 1. Fr. Muma currently serves as associate pastor of St. John Neumann Parish, Canton.

Fr. Greg Piatt appointed associate pastor of St. Anastasia Parish, Troy, effective July 1. Fr. Piatt currently serves as associate pastor of St. James Parish, Novi.

Fr. Kishore Battu, SAC, appointed associate pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Lake Orion, effective July 1. Fr. Battu currently serves as associate pastor of St. Michael Parish, Livonia.

Fr. Krzysztof Nowak appointed administrator of St. Gerald Parish, Farmington, effective July 1. Fr. Nowak currently serves as associate pastor of St. Theodore of Canterbury Parish, St. Damian Parish, and Divine Savior Parish, Westland.
