Detroit — The Michigan Catholic, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Detroit, welcomed its newest staff member Aug. 26.
Elizabeth Wong, who has experience working as a reporter, editor and public relations specialist at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, joins the newspaper as its full-time staff reporter. Originally from New Jersey, Wong also has experience reporting for The Washington Times and has spent time in Washington, D.C., with Terry Mattingly’s Washington Journalism Center. Wong earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in philosophy from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Wong succeeds Robert Delaney, who retired from The Michigan Catholic in June after a 22-year career with the paper. To send her news tips or story ideas, email [email protected].
