Raymond Martin Donahue died July 30. He was born in Detroit in 1938 to James and Frances Donahue, Sr. He attended Assumption Grotto grade school in Detroit, Sacred Heart Major Seminary High School in Detroit and St. John Provincial Seminary in Plymouth Township. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1964, serving at several parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He left the priesthood in 1994.

He was married in 1999 to Julie Ann Ertzbischoff. For 16 years, he had been a laboratory courier for Port Huron Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Julie Ann, step-children, step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, friends, co-workers and those with whom he served in the priesthood.

His funeral Mass was Aug. 5 at St. Bonaventure Monastery in Detroit. Burial was at Assumption Grotto Cemetery. Condolences to Julia Donahue, P.O. Box 152, Port Hope, MI 48468.
