Sr. Ann M. Maloney, formerly known as Sr. Ellen Maureen Maloney, on July 7 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was 87 and in her 69th year of religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

She was born in Chicago to Michael and Anna (O’Brien) Maloney. Sr. Maloney graduated from Aquinas High School in Chicago and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Barry College (University) in Miami Shores, Fla., a Master of Arts degree in education from Michigan State University in East Lansing, and a Master of Arts degree in theology from Mundelein College in Chicago. 

Sr. Maloney spent 27 years ministering in education in Michigan, Illinois and Florida. In the Archdiocese of Detroit, she taught at St. Mary in Rockwood from 1953 to 1955. 

She became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in Adrian in 1999. 

Sr. Maloney is survived by cousins. 

Her funeral Mass was July 12 at the Dominican Life Center.

Visitation is from 6:15 to 7:00pm in the Gathering Space of St. Catherine Chapel on Monday, July 11, 2011, at the Dominican Life Center, followed by Vigil Prayer at 7:00pm in St. Catherine Chapel. The Funeral Liturgy will be offered in St. Catherine Chapel on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10:30am. Burial will be in the Congregation cemetery.
