Sr. Audrey Bushell, IHM, died Feb. 12 in the IHM Health Care Center.

Sr. Bushell was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Detroit to Aaron and Margaret (Griffin) Bushell. She attended St. Rose Grade School and High School in Detroit and graduated in 1943. That same year, she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monroe and received the religious name of Sr. Vinciana.

She earned degrees from Marygrove College and Wayne State University and taught elementary grades at St. John and Hall of the Divine Child, Monroe; SS. Peter and Paul, Ionia; Holy Redeemer and Christ the King, Detroit; and schools in Chicago. She went on to teach high school at St. Mary of Redford, Detroit; and Brother Rice, Bloomfield Hills, teaching mainly art.

Sr. Bushell retired to the Motherhouse in 1993, later volunteering in the Archives office.

Sr. Bushell is survived by nieces and her sisters in community. Her brothers, Aaron (who also was called Pat) and Robert, preceded her in death.

Mass of Christian Burial was Feb. 17 at the IHM Motherhouse. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery on the Motherhouse campus.
