Sr. Mary of the Incarnate Word (Dolores Bricher), OP

20 Sr MarySr. Mary of the Incarnate Word, OP, died peacefully Aug. 16 at home, with her sisters at the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament in Farmington Hills. She was 81 and in the 60th year of her profession as a Cloistered Dominican Nun.

Sr. Mary of the Incarnate Word (Dolores Bricher), was born July 3, 1935, in St. Paul, Minn., before coming to the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament in Farmington Hills. Besides her ministry of prayer, she served her community faithfully as infirmarian, gardener and singer during daily liturgies and the Divine Office. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lester and Frances (Pawlicki) Bricher; and loving sister of Janet Bruker, Charles Wayne, Joseph Martin, John Clark and the late Sr. Mary Rosalie.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 18. Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
