Sr. Regina (Luciana) Wantuch, SSJ-TOSF, passed away June 16 at the age of 92.

Sr. Wantuch was invested as a novice into the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis congregation on Aug. 10, 1945. She took her final vows Aug. 19, 1952.

Sr. Wantuch served as a teacher in Ohio, Michigan and Mississippi, later becoming a medical transcriptionist and ministering in Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, and again in Michigan and Ohio.

In Michigan, Sr. Wantuch taught at Sweetest Heart of Mary (1948-51) and St. Bartholomew in Detroit (1960-61). She also served at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Heights (1982-2001).

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 20 at Our Lady of Grace Church in Dearborn Heights. Interment is in St. Hedwig Cemetery.
