Sr. Sally Lessnau, DC, entered eternal life Nov. 18 at Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind., a day after her 71st birthday.

Born Nov. 17, 1942, in Detroit, Sr. Lessnau was one of six children of Raymond and Elizabeth (Doetsch) Lessnau. Sr. Lessnau was a 1960 graduate of St. Anthony High School in Detroit.

Sr. Lessnau entered the Daughters of Charity in Emmitsburg, Md., in August 1961. Throughout her ministry, she taught at Catholic schools and served in other ministries in Ohio, Mississippi, Indiana, Tennessee, Illinois and Missouri.

Sr. Lessnau was preceded in death by her brother, Mark (Pat) Lessnau; she is survived by her brothers Robert (Carol) of Southgate and Kenneth (Mary Jane) of Howell; her sisters Mary (Steve) Hudson and Shirley Lessnau of  Fowlerville; many nieces and nephews; her Sisters in Community; and many friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was Nov. 18 at Seton Residence Chapel in Evansville, Ind. Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville.
