Timothy V. Harrington

Timothy V. (Ted) Harrington, brother of Bishop Bernard J. Harrington of Winona, Minn., died Nov. 12. He was 82.

A graduate of St. Cecelia grade and high schools in Detroit, he went on to earn a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Detroit.

Throughout the years, he served as an usher, parish council member, and lector at Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Redford Township; St. Sabina Parish, Dearborn Heights; and St. Kenneth Parish, Plymouth.

He and Kathleen, his wife of 52 years, met through the Third Order of St. Francis. All of his eight children attended Our Lady of Loretto Grade School and Bishop Borgess High School, Redford Township.

Besides his wife and children and Bishop Harrington, he is survived by 31 grandchildren; one sister, Irene; And another brother, Jack.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 16, at St. Kenneth Church, Plymouth. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
